A classic blend of Tempranillo 90%, Grenache 5%, Mazuelo and Graciano 5%.
Classic vanilla and fruitcake nose, along with some creaminess. Smooth tannins on the velvety palate, plus smooth and round, silky tannins, zippy acidity and really good fruit concentration.
Made from perfectly ripe, hand-selected and harvested grapes from Contino's own vineyards around Finca de San Rafael. Matured in previously used barrels (40% American oak and 60% French oak) for two years, it was then bottled and aged for a further year in Contino's underground cellars until being released to the market. Deep ruby red in colour, the nose is very expressive, with fruit expression and elegance standing out.
Wine made 100% with the Tinta del País (Tempranillo) variety grown from an organic viticulture with bush vineyards and without irrigation located in the surroundings of LaHorra and Roa de Duero (Burgos) for 25 to 30 years on average. It has the character of Ribera del Duero, interpreted with all its elegance. Full of freshness, finesse and delicacy.
CORIMBO I is the stellar wine of Bodegas LA HORRA, voluminous and at the same time fine and elegant. Coming from vineyards over 50 years old and made100% from the Tinta del País (Tempranillo) variety. It is very intense and full of different nuances in many overlapping layers. The fruit is black in profile with some red highlights. It is dominated by black plums, blackberries and cherries. The tannins are fine and polished. There is no feeling of weight or alcohol, just balance.
Aromas of berries, cherries, and blackberries. In the mouth it is intense and consistent, with notes of ripe but fresh black fruit, elegant and persistent tannins, which are expressed in a long and expressive finish. This wine is a blend in which Tempranillo (80%) dominates, accompanied by Garnacha, Mazuelo and Graciano (which together represent 20%)
The grapes come from vineyards located in the highest part of the winery. A classic Rioja which is up there with the best Parker gave it 96 point out of 100
Purple red with a bluish rim. On the nose, Prado Rey Roble exhibits fresh notes of red and dark berries, such as blackberries and cherries, and notes of vanilla. The wine is balanced, with soft, pleasant tannins on the palate. A round, smooth wine showing an interesting ensemble of spicy notes with a forest berry aftertaste.
Blend: 95% Tempranillo, 3% Cabernet Sauvignon, 2% Merlot
90% Tempranillo with 5% Mazuelo and 5% Graciano. Aged for 18months in oak casks. After bottling it is kept in the cellar to develop before being sent out.

The ultimate in Rioja elegance, Viña Real is a fine, intensely aromatic, and harmonious gran reserva. The new 2016 is impressive and with time will gain in complexity as many of the ancient vintages of this great wine show today.
