Tignanello was the first Sangiovese to be aged in barriques, the first contemporary red wine blended with untraditional varieties (specifically Cabernet) and one of the first red wines in the Chianti Classico region that didnít use white grapes. Tignanello is a milestone. Itís produced with a selection of Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc.

An intense ruby red in color with purple highlights, the wine shows an intense nose of red fruit along with hints of sweet spices and underbrush. On the palate, the flavors are fresh and vibrant with supple and balanced tannins. The finish and aftertaste are long and sustained.
