GREAT WINES FROM FAMILY VINEYARDS FOR YOUR ENJOYMENT

Riesling

Greywacke Riesling 2022, Marlborough
£ 27.40
Greywacke was created in 2009 by Kevin Judd, chief winemaker at Cloudy Bay.

An off-dry Riesling, this is a virtual fruit salad of mandarin, white peaches, crisp apples, lemon blossom, a hint of sherbet and a dollop of honey. Bright, natural acidity balances the subliminal touch of sweetness.

Riesling Auslese #22 Wehlener Sonnenuhr 2007, Joh Jos Prum
£ 75.00
The estate makes only Riesling from vines that on average are at least 50 years old.
Quince preserves, baked apple, lily, gardenia, and hints of caramel and vanilla mark the nose. With richness yet delicacy and lift it saturates the palate with rich fruit, liquid flowers, vanilla cream, and savory, saline, shrimp shell...

Riesling Auslese Saarburger Rausch 2009, Forstmeister Geltz-Zilliken, Mosel
£ 72.65
Picked largely near the beginning of the harvest – at the same time when botrytis berries were being selected for this year's TBA.

It features grilled pineapple, fresh lemon, and candied grapefruit rind, its bittersweet personality already anticipated by zesty, smoky aromatic pungency.

Riesling Grand Cru Steingrubler 2021, Domaine Stentz-Buecher, Alsace
£ 29.95
The Steingrübler Grands Crus are wines with great ageing potential. They are rich in aromas, with a solid body and a very virile structure.

The nose of this wine opens with notes of lemon and minerality, followed by citrus aromas that are also found on the palate (grapefruit and lime). Constructed and concentrated, this wine finishes with a beautiful freshness as well as a power that suggests beautiful years of aging.
Riesling Mountadam 2020, Eden Valley
£ 18.50
The palate shows all the hallmarks of an Eden Valley Riesling. It has lashings of lemon and lime juice characters throughout. More subtle characters of dried herbs and perfume add to the complexity of the wine.

The wine builds in intensity and finishes with fresh natural acidity and typically Eden valley minerality.

Riesling Tradition 2023, Domaine Stentz-Buecher, Alsace
£ 18.50
The nose is frank and clean. It reveals the typicality of the grape variety, marked by citrus fruits with a beautiful structure.
The palate presents the same aromas as the nose, accompanied by an elegant minerality.
The philosophy that governs the work of the vineyard and the production of DOMAINE STENTZ BUECHER wines is based on observation and love of nature. The aim is to allow the vine to develop and the wine to evolve by natural means, with minimal intervention.

Riesling Trocken 2023, Baden Schieferkopf, M. Chapoutier
£ 16.50
Under the guiding hand of Monsieur Chapoutier, the legendary wine maker of the Rhone valley, this is a fun and dry expression of German riesling. Grown on mineral rich soil in Baden, one of Germany's warmest wine growing regions, this has wonderful precision and balance. Stone fruit and citrus, with just a touch of something honeyed are balanced by an almost saline minerality.
