GREAT WINES FROM FAMILY VINEYARDS FOR YOUR ENJOYMENT

Nebbiolo (Barolo/Barbaresco)

Barbaresco 2019, Gaja
£ 220.00
Bright and lively, there isn’t a moment unsuited to enjoying this exhilarating wine. The structure is there to age, but lurks in the background, giving just enough support so as not to dominate the character. I could drink this now, but I must resist temptation.
Barbaresco Riserva Ovello 2014, Produttori del Barbaresco
£ 62.35
Full-bodied Piedmont red wine made from 100% Nebbiolo. It is known for a broad, soft mouthfeel, featuring aromas of red cherry, plum, and, due to a warm late-season, intense ripe fruit, along with solid, well-integrated tannins and a long finish.

Aged for 36 months in large oak barrels and 12 months in the bottle.

This exceptional value Barolo showcases a brick-red hue, with aromas of cherry, raspberry, strawberry, mocha, leather, and delicate floral notes. Barolo Bricco Pernice 2010, Elvio Cogno
£ 144.00
You get structure, power and long aging potential wrap into one beautiful package. Fruit is sourced from a two-hectare vineyard that represent one of this estate’s most historic and celebrated crus. The intensity and vigor of the wine is impeccable and it finishes with well-managed tannins and long flavors of dark fruit, Morello cherry and spice.
Barolo Brunate Riserva 2013, Marco Marengo
£ 76.00
A firm backbone softens a little with air and unravels intense aromas of dark fruit, violets and earth. The palate gradually reveals flavours of bramble and boysenberry fruit mixed with hints of cherry, strawberry, spices and herbs. There is also a strong underlying mineral element to the fruit. Deep, layered flavours that need time to unwind. Powerful but serious and smartly-tailored smart.
Barolo Massara 2012, Castello di Verduno
£ 76.00
Succulent red cherry and floral notes give the 2012 a decidedly bright, lifted profile to play off the wine's pliant fruit. There is good density to the 2012, along with more than enough tannin and overall structure to suggest the wine will drink well for years to come. Slightly gamy undertones suggest the 2012 will always be a bit on the rustic side.
Nebbiolo "Avamposti Altrove" 2023, Monferrato DOC
£ 17.20
It has lightly floral aromas with notes of plum and berry fruit balanced by savoury characters. The palate is juicy with ripe plum and black cherry, supple tannins and a lightly spicy finish.
After harvesting, and 15-16 days on skins, the wine is fermented in stainless steel, followed by up to two years in oak - 75% in botti and 25% in barriques (not new).
