Chateau La Grande Maye 2018, Cotes de Castillon
£ 16.70
85% Merlot and 15% Cabernet Franc.

Situated in the Côtes de Castillon, where the terroir is similar to the higher vineyards of St Emilion. It's a dark and savoury Grande Maye with an abundance of mineral infused cassis and loganberry fruit. There are some smoky wood notes, hints of black olive, redcurrant and Valrhona chocolate.

Chateau Perron 2022, Lalande Pomerol
£ 29.90
80% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Cabernet Franc.

The nose is expressive and layered, with aromas of black fruits, red berries, plum, liquorice, and hints of coffee, chocolate, or spice. The 2022 is described as rich, supple, and fleshy with a velvety tannic structure. It balances fresh red fruit notes with a slightly oaky finish (aged 12–18 months in oak barrels).

Chateau Quinault L'Enclos 2018, St Emilion Grand Cru
£ 45.95
71% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Franc and 14% Cabernet Sauvignon

Notes of soy and nori, flowers, red berries and salt, then plums, spice and Valrhona chocolate - this is impressive and concentrated yet has verve and lift. The finish has lovely salinity with notes of sweet toasty oak, wild plums and flowers. Silky, refined and pure, this is a tremendous effort from Quinault.

Chateau Robin 2022, Lussac-Saint-Emilion
£ 17.95
75% Merlot and 25 % Cabernet Franc.
This is a stunning vintage. The blend makes the wine very well-balanced. Château Robin is a powerful, vivid and elegant wine with red and black fruit aromas and a hint of violet.
Croix de Beausejour 2016, St. Emilion
£ 42.25
80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc.

The 2016 Croix de Beauséjour is a serious second wine endowed with quite a bit of structure that should allow it to age gracefully for 10-15 years. Smoke, scorched earth, tobacco, leather, licorice, spice and a whole host of dark flavors give the Croix its decidedly somber, brooding personality.
