| | In the Northeast hills of Romangia Sardinia comes this fragrant Cannonau aka Grenache. Here it expresses the shallow soils with aromatic red fruits. Blood plum, Morello cherries and pomegranate. A hint of blackberry and vanilla pod with a backdrop of nutmeg, ground ginger and dried paperbark. Tannins are fine grained and dusty and there is a lasting note of autumn leaves and brown mushrooms. |

| | Rich, ripe but fresh Priorat from an exciting producer. It’s a blend of 40% Grenache, 20% Carignan, 30% Syrah and 10% Merlot. It’s fermented in concrete tanks and then aged for 15-18 months in large old oak barrels so there is very little influence of wood on the wine’s flavour. |
