Chateau Smith Haut Lafitte 2014, Pessac-Léognan
£ 105.00
Smith Haut Lafitte has become an unmissable benchmark for Pessac-Léognan. This Château Smith Haut Lafitte sports a lovely, deep-red colour with glints of dark purple. The complex nose reveals very fresh notes of ripe red fruits (raspberry, cherry), liquorice and spices. On the palate, the wine is balanced, with good concentration.
Chateau Trebiac 2020, Graves
£ 19.00
70% merlot and 30% cabernet sauvignon.

A stunning medium bodied wine that has excellent structure and style. Aged in oak barrels for 18 months before bottling.

Clos Rene 2017, Pomerol
£ 48.00
75% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc.

The 2017 Clos René, is matured in 30% new oak, has a very perfumed bouquet with well-defined red and black fruit laced with truffle and develops an almost pastille-like purity. This is very charming. The palate is medium-bodied with fine grain tannin, good depth and cohesion, the oak neatly integrated with a precise and quite sustained finish.

Croix de Beausejour 2016, St. Emilion
£ 42.25
80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc.

The 2016 Croix de Beauséjour is a serious second wine endowed with quite a bit of structure that should allow it to age gracefully for 10-15 years. Smoke, scorched earth, tobacco, leather, licorice, spice and a whole host of dark flavors give the Croix its decidedly somber, brooding personality.

Domaine de Chevalier 2014, Pessac-Léognan
£ 69.50
65 % Cabernet Sauvignon, 30 % Merlot and 5 % Petit Verdot.
Ripe redcurrant and delicate herbal aromas with just a hint of spicy oak on the nose precede a fresh, medium-bodied palate with underplayed power and a lot of subtle nuances on the long finish.
La Reserve de la Comtesse 2009, Pichon Longueville, Pauillac
£ 82.00
53% Cabernet Sauvignon, 38% Merlot and 9% Cabernet Franc.
Sweet on the nose with aromas of kirsch, damson plum, currents, violet, and a touch of graphite. Big and juicy on the palate with firm tannins. Flavours of forest floor, white chocolate, liquorice, blackcurrant, vanilla, and black cherry. A smoky, silky finish with a lingering minerality.
Le Petit Haut Lafitte 2009, Pessac-Leognan
£ 79.00
64% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Franc and 1% Petit Verdot
Gorgeous nose of sous bois, spices, chocolate, and meat follows through to a full body, with velvety tannins and a long caressing finish. Elegant with beautiful length.

Petit Eglise 2016, Pomerol
£ 75.00
100% Merlot

It has notes of tayberry, strawberry liqueur, flowers, and blood orange. It is vital, fluid, and lithe - a vibrant, high-toned, engaging Petite Eglise that remains feminine and subtle. Finesse over power - absolutely wonderful!
Segla 2016, Chateau Rauzan-Ségla, Margaux
£ 51.00
45% Cabernet Sauvignon, 53% Merlot with 2% Petit Verdot.

The 2016 Ségla is drinking beautifully. Black cherries, cassis and violets on the nose immediately nail this as a Margaux, quite plush and seductive. The palate has wonderful balance and saturated tannins. It’s silky smooth with a sweet but poised finish that slips down the throat with ease.
