Ch. du Tertre’s 2009 is a fantastic gem of a wine. With forward, fruity, fresh red and black fruit aromas, this has wonderful concentration with layers of creamy blackberries rolling across the palate, super-silky tannins and a mocha hint at the finish adding complexity.

The 2006 Ducru Beaucaillou has a precocious bouquet for the vintage: opulent ripe dark cherry, red plum and cassis fruit, mint and hints of vanilla pod. It is very well defined and very sensual. The palate is medium-bodied with a sweet opening, plenty of dark cherry and blackberry, Hoisin, a touch of cedar and again mint.
60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc.
Second wine of Grand-Puy-Lacoste. Expressive scents of crushed strawberry, raspberry coulis, cedar and light mint aromas that are well defined. There is joie de vivre here. The palate is medium-bodied with light tannin, a juicy Lacoste-Borie that wears its heart on its sleeve, hints of vanilla toward the finish.
Deep, dark ruby-red, not quite opaque. Aromas are deep, brooding dark fruit & liquorice, well integrated with cedar notes. The palate has vibrant acidity and cassis fruit at first, but this is closed up by the oak on the mid palate. Alcohol adds a touch of warmth and the fruit fights back on the finish, showing rich dark fruit at the end.
71% Cabernet Sauvignon, 29% Merlot.
The 2005 vintage exhibits aromas of blackcurrant fruit, liquorice, spice, and forest floor. The palate is medium bodied, with a velvety rich tannin. A quintessential Pauillac that will bring joy to all!
38% Cabernet Sauvignon, 52% Merlot, 6% Cabernet Franc and 4% Petit Verdot
It could not come from anywhere else. Crushed violets infuse black cherries, blueberry, and iodine. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannin, very well-judged acidity, an elegant and very charming Margaux with pencil lead and a touch of spice on the long finish.
54% Cabernet Sauvignon, 35% Merlot, 6% Cabernet Franc and 5% Petit Verdot.
Forward and lifted cassis fruit on the nose with violets and notes of graphite. More of the same across the palate, flamboyant and dense with bags of acidity providing a linear feel – very typical of the finest 2014s. This is fleshy and generous but with the firm tannin backbone that we expect from the commune.

The Chateau is located south of Gruaud Larose in the commune of Cussac-Fort Medoc.

Brimming a fine colour and offering a fine fragrance of Cabernet fruit, it is quite firm and tries to hide, but floral, pretty, and noticeably alluring notes emerge. Soft and approachable, there is a crunch to the palate and an elegant polish on the finish.
50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot, and 25% Cabernet Franc, spending up to 15 months in oak barrels, roughly 50% of which are new. On the nose ripe red fruits as blackberry and dark plum. On the palate: Almost full-bodied, soft, and round. It melts on your tongue. A marvellous integration of tastes from the dark fruit, tannins, oak, and vanilla.
42% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot and 18% Petit Verdot.
The 2012 Château Meyney turned out to be a bit of a star at a recent ‘Ten Years On’ tasting of the 2012 Bordeaux vintage. It seems to have shaken off its youthful tannic coast and is entering a phase of delightful openness.

It has notes of tayberry, strawberry liqueur, flowers, and blood orange. It is vital, fluid, and lithe - a vibrant, high-toned, engaging Petite Eglise that remains feminine and subtle. Finesse over power - absolutely wonderful!
